About

Painting is a visual experience concerned with clarifying thought and to awaken in us the simplicity and unity of an impression. My area of focus is landscape painting. My plein-air oil sketches are further developed in the studio. The observational skills needed when working outdoors and the more scrutinizing practice of studio work, leads to the synthesis of the known facts found in reality to the hidden. The shapes, tones and colours found in nature is the language I use throughout my work.
