Thank you. Have a look at the short video The Tropics, work in progress, I posted on Tuition Post. Hopefully it will give you some ideas around how to approach a painting. It was really important to use the luminous white ground of the canvas to enable the pure pigments to vibrate. Strangely enough, some of my favorite colors, I use frequently, yellow ochre, raw umber, cerulean blue was simply too matt and subdued for this painting. The use of pure and transparent colors was key.]]></description>
